Tewkesbury Borough Council have successfully secured £284,000 of funding form the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme, who are providing funding for public sector bodies, towards the cost of installing an air to air heating system at the Council's head office (public service centre).
The authority are supporting this scheme with the installation of a 44kwh Solar PV canopy over the car park system to offset the additional electrical demand. This project is within the scope of works to enable the council to meet its 2030 carbon neutral (net zero) target by removing an old gas fired boilers.
Tewkesbury Borough Council is investing £650,000 part funded by the public sector decarbonisation fund by £284,000 for the installation of an air to air heating system, the systems has been designed and developed to mitigate the use of natural gas to heat the building, using electricity from renewable sources whilst offering better control of temperatures throughout the building.
