Gloucestershire is committed to combating illegal drugs and the harm they cause, and this is an issue which needs action from a range of local partners. The Gloucestershire Combating Drugs Partnership (GCDP) is a multi-agency structure which covers the whole of Gloucestershire.
The Partnership is chaired by Councillor Nick Evans who is also Chair of the county-wide community safety partnership, Safer Gloucestershire.
To work in partnership, using knowledge, skills, data, and influence to deliver the three priorities of the new national drug strategy within Gloucestershire:
The multi-agency partnership brings together action and oversight across the three priorities with accountability for delivery against the National Combating Drugs Outcomes Framework. Partners will work together to understand our population and how drugs are causing harm in Gloucestershire, identify any challenges in our local system and make the changes that are needed to address them.
