Auto-enrolment

In 2013 we announced that all employees meeting the criteria below would be automatically enroled onto a pension scheme. We are required to run an auto-enrolment review every 3 years, ensuring any eligible members of staff not in a pension scheme are auto-enroled. Pensions criteria

Auto-enrol

  • Eligible jobholders: aged 22-State Pension Age (SPA)

**Earning above £10,000 (£833 a month)

Have a right to join

  • Entitled *Workers: aged 16-74

Earning below £6,136 (£512 a month)

Have a right to opt in

  • Non eligible jobholders: aged 16-21 or SPA to 74

Earning above £10,000 (£833 a month) or aged 16-74 earning above £6,136 (£512 a month) but below £10,000 (£833 a month)

*Workers – individuals who work under a contract of employment or a contractor who is not undertaking the work as part of their own business.

**The earning limits are based on 2019-2020 and may be subject to change year on year.
