End of KS2 CPD Events 2026/27
We are pleased to confirm that we continue to provide our KS2 writing Assessment and Moderation CPD in 2026/27, the full day event covers:
- Statutory requirements for 2027 end of KS2 assessment for reading, EGP&S, writing, mathematics and science (including pre-key stage 2 standards).
- A summary of DfE and Ofsted national updates.
- Strategies to support robust and accurate evidence-based teacher assessment.
- An opportunity to carry out writing moderation activities supported by the LA KS2 Moderation Team.
- Effective practice for 2026 – 27 assessments.
Date and venue: 23rd February 2027 at The Pavilion, Cheltenham (£115.00 per delegate).

Key Stage 2 Writing Moderator Role
Gloucestershire local authority (LA) wishes to appoint new external moderators to complete statutory end of KS2 writing moderation in June 2027. The role of an LA moderator is open to all qualified and serving KS2 practitioners in Gloucestershire LA, both headteachers and teachers, who meet the specification requirements (see application form linked below).
Interviews will take place on Wednesday 21st or Friday 23rd October 2026 on TEAMs.
The closing date for applications is Friday 9th October 2027
