I have been a GlosEd Leader for English for the last six years. Within my role, I have provided a range of support, from working with individual teachers to plan and resource teaching sequences within KS1, to providing phonics information sessions, workshops and inset training for teachers, TAs  and parents in my own and other schools.

Having taught in Year 1 for a number of years before moving into Reception, I have had a variety of experience making the transition between Reception and Year 1 manageable, including developing strategies to help engage boys in purposeful writing activities.

I have also had the role of English Subject Leader at my school for the last nine years, and have been committed to improving the quality of teaching and learning, specifically in writing, by supporting colleagues throughout my school and keeping up-to-date with current developments within English through my attendance at Subject Leader Network meetings and GlosEd Leader meetings and events.
