I am an experienced teacher and trainer who brings fun into mathematics learning for all ages. My teaching and training is very practical and resource based and I adopt a "start with a..." approach to learning.
I am a trainer for STEMworks and Worcestershire LA and have run many well evaluated CPD sessions on aspects of mathematics teaching and learning from Early Years through to subject knowledge support for teachers. I have worked in large city schools and small rural schools on all aspects of teaching, learning and assessing mathematics which includes teaching sessions for others to watch, coaching teachers moving from good to outstanding and working with leaders developing leadership skills in order to lead on improvement themselves. I offer coaching sessions for subject leaders in preparation for Ofsted inspections.
I am very skilled in data analysis, priority setting and action planning and have supported many schools in producing and delivering action plans that impact on school improvement. I am very experienced working with schools in Ofsted categories and working with LA teams to support these schools in their improvement.
