ProfileMy Background I have been a teacher for over 15 years and have experience teaching from Pre-School up to KS2. I am currently the Deputy Headteacher at Abbeymead Primary School. The school has over 450 children on roll over 15 classes. I have been a GlosEd leader since 2014 and have worked with a variety of schools across Gloucestershire on an individual basis developing individual programmes of support. I have a passion for helping support the development of others so that there can be a positive, sustained impact on pupils. I like to keep up to date with educational research, developments and changes and completed the NPQSL qualification in January 2018. In order to offer support to local schools and to improve my own skills and knowledge I established 2 early years clusters who meet termly to discuss a range of topics and to create moderation materials. I can offer support and expertise with: Early years foundation stage: From Pre-Schools to reception E.g. Taking over, setting up and running a school controlled Pre-School setting. Supporting NQTs and staff with limited experience through their first year in EYFS. EYFS audits and creations of development plans. Staff training in the early years. Recording, tracking and analysing data. Moderation and OFSTED preparation. Working with head teachers, governors and staff to increase understanding of the EYFS. Modelling and demonstrating lessons Reading Including diminishing the difference, phonics and reading (strategies and teaching) from EYFS through to KS2. E.g. Implementation of guided reading strategies across whole school. Working with teachers and TAs to develop the teaching of phonics Working with staff to set up reading opportunities for EYFS/ KS1/ KS2. Use of reading challenges to encourage reading at home. Reading observations and leaning walks. Staff support and creation of reading development plans. Mixed Key stage teaching E.g. Lesson observations and feedback Creation of daily routines and mixed key stage planning formats Classroom and behaviour management and target setting Marking and feedback Teaching and learning E.g.
