Behaviour Management enables the user to record behaviour and achievement events of students, manage exclusions and detentions and create report cards.

This one day course covers the setting up and recording of achievements, behaviour incidents, detentions and report card. Recording can be done by class teachers or administrators according to your behaviour policy. The Behaviour Management area of SIMS has been improved to allow for flexibility to suit your behaviour requirements.

Who should attend?

  • Heads of Year, Deputy or Associate Head Teachers with responsibility for behaviour, Administrators.

How will I benefit?

  • To comply with your behaviour policy, you will be able to record incidents of behaviour and achievements, produce an electronic detention register and report cards.
  • You will see behaviour recording from a teacher's and administrator's perspective.
  • You will be able to highlight problematic areas and interrogate behaviour incidents to generate statistics.
  • You will be able to produce reports and mail merge letters.

What will I learn?

By the end of the course, you should be able to:

  • Customise behaviour lookup table codes.
  • Setup detentions.
  • Record behaviour, detentions and report cards exploring all four ways including from a teacher's perspective and administrator's perspective.
  • Produce behaviour and detention reports and lists including mail merge letters.
  • Configure the home page to show behaviour graphs for different groups.
  • Send messages to other SIMS users.
