Again this depends on the infection. Please see a summary poster for infection exclusion periods and reporting requirements.
4. Do I still need to carry out a separate risk assessment for Covid-19?
From 1 April, the Government will remove the health and safety requirement for every employer to explicitly consider COVID-19 in their risk assessments. The Government ‘Working Safely’ guidance will be replaced by new public health guidance. Schools should continue to consider the needs of employees at greater risk from COVID-19, including those whose immune system means they are at higher risk of serious illness from COVID-19.
The Government’s objective in the next phase of the COVID-19 response is to enable the country to manage COVID-19 like any other respiratory illness. Schools will be encouraged to update their whole school risk assessment to include COVID-19 under ‘infection control’.
5. How do I report issues or concerns to Gloucestershire County Council Education team?
