  • End of KS1 and KS2 Teacher Assessment and Moderation CPD (January/February/March 2023)

    End of KS1 and KS2 Assessment and Moderation CPD enables Y2/Y6 teachers to undertake end of KS1/KS2 statutory assessments.

     The meeting will enable teachers to:

    • understand and follow statutory requirements as set out in the 2023 KS1/KS2 Assessment and Reporting Arrangements (ARA), including 2023 national curriculum tests; and
    • make robust and accurate evidence based teacher assessment judgements in reading, writing, mathematics and science.

    The IRC’s Healing Classrooms approach offers children a safe and predictable place to learn and cope with the consequences of conflict and displacement.  The Healing Classrooms programme was launched in the UK in May 2022 and offers free teacher training through a series of online training sessions and in-person workshops.

We have a national crisis, with over 870 children in care across Gloucestershire alone, and we are urgently recruiting for more foster carers.

    The DfE have announced additional funding to schools for energy efficiency measures to be in place by the end of March-2023. The fund is based on £10,000 per school plus £20 per pupil.

  • The Banded Funding initiative is about allocating funds to settings that will allow creativity and flexibility to achieve outcomes at the earliest opportunity.

    The Banded Funding project has been commissioned to design and deliver a universal banded funding system for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) to replace the current Resource Allocation System (RAS) and the existing Special School banding framework. The system aims to support the delivery of tailored, child-focussed support, facilitate more creativity and flexibility and, in turn, equip children/young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to reach their full potential.

    The referral route into the CAMHS Neurodiversity Team (previously known as the CAMHS Neuro Clinic) within Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust has changed. The Team assess children and young people over the age of 11 for Autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

    Your local community dental service has been commissioned to support the National Dental Epidemiology Programme.  This involves an oral health survey of small sample of Year 6 children from primary schools which are randomly selected to take part.
