Apprenticeship Levy


The Government is changing the way in which employers pay for Apprenticeship Training.  This is known as the “Apprenticeship Levy” and it comes into force on 6th April 2017.

If you buy HR services from the Council you can access information on Schoolsnet or talk to an HR adviser (in line with the service you have purchased).  In terms of calculating and paying the Levy, if applicable to you, this would normally be done by your payroll provider. 


If you buy payroll services from the Council they will be dealing with this on your behalf.  If you don’t buy HR and/or Payroll services from the Council and would like to know more about the Levy, please see:
