The conference is taking place on 30 March, 10am – 2pm and hosted by The Music Works, Kings House, 27 St Aldate Street, Gloucester GL1 1RP.

It’s all about real-world, peer-to-peer collaborative support; a sounding board to explore the barriers faced around school-based music on a day-to-day basis.

  • Primary subject co-ordinator?
  • Secondary school department lead?
  • School leader?

What to expect:

  • Networking
  • Expert speakers
  • Guidance on becoming a subject champion
  • Ofsted deep-dive survivors!
  • Launch of the MMG music mentoring programme
  • Discussion/sharing ideas
  • Performances from Young people and Q&As

Why come along:

We all know how passionate teachers are about providing access to music for everyone and how the pandemic has been so hard on music in schools.

We’ve heard from teachers, students across the key stages and recent school leavers and we want to help restart the fire!

We know that from speaking to teachers that SLTs are looking for CPD that will help create access to vibrant, inclusive and successful musical learning, raising the profile of music in the wider school community.

That’s what this day is all about.
