Reel Education is a whole school enrichment activity based on the national curriculum that aims to encourage children across the country to value Britain’s rivers, lakes and seas. It also aims to get children and their families to consider getting involved in the sport of Angling.

The project has two components. A classroom-based element consisting of pre-made lessons for KS1 and upper and lower KS2, these focus on Science, Art and Maths. All the
lessons, worksheets and videos are provided in advance to your school. The lessons have been developed by a team from the Oak Academy. They come in MS Office, PDF and video formats. The second is a PE element where we will provide a qualified and DBS’d Angling Trust coach to come to your school and deliver games and activities themed around the sport of angling. We can deliver to up to 150 students in a day and are more than happy to deliver the programme over 2 days depending on the size of your school. We have delivered the project to over 2000 students across the UK since we launched in April 2022 with fantastic feedback. Please see the flyer included to see some examples of the project in action.
