Guidance for Educational home visits - Infection Control

To reduce the risk of virus transmission it’s recommended to:

• Complete a thorough Risk Assessment ahead of the visit using your professional judgement of the risk
• Ensure all attendees are symptom free ahead of the meeting
• Ask other members of the household to remain in a separate room at all times where possible
• Ensure the meeting is socially distanced at all times as per guidance
• Use the correct PPE; face masks should be worn at all times, take sanitiser and used frequently along with hand washing
• Increase ventilation by opening windows
• Keep the meeting as short as possible
• Staff members and students should be encouraged to complete LFD tests following current guidance
• Wipe clean touch points such as chairs, tables, door handles if possible using household cleaner or sanitising wipes
