National Funding for Schools
Schools in the South West are set for a cash boost of £175 million following the government’s multi-billion-pound investment in primary and secondary education in England, an increase of 5% per pupil.
The biggest increases going to the schools that need it most – meaning every secondary school will attract a minimum of £5,000 per pupil next year, with every primary school attracting a minimum of £4,000 from 2021-22.
The Prime Minister has announced a huge boost to education spending between now and 2022-23 – boosting spending on schools and high needs by £14billion in total over three years.
