Lord Agnew (Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the School System) issued a letter to Directors of Children’s Services requesting that it is shared with state schools. Read the ‘Guidance for schools on leaving the EU’ letter online.

Perspective Lite and Broadcast

Published
02.10.2018

In 2017, due to product obsolescence, RM SecureNet was discontinued.

After completing product assessments (with input from schools) and the required procurement process, the Local Authority (LA) contracted with Angel Solutions for a replacement system, which was implemented in August 2017.

The initial cost of rolling out the new products, ‘Perspective Lite’ and ‘Broadcast’, to schools was borne by the LA. Schools previously subscribed directly from ‘South West Grid for Learning’ for access to ‘RM SecureNet Plus’, at a cost of around £60. Whilst the LA funded the initial cost of the new system, subsequent cost will need to be funded by schools, in-line with the previous arrangement with SWGfL.  The charge is £50 per school.

This product does need to be individually purchased by each school via GCC Plus (the traded services portal). A majority of schools have already added this to their list of services procured from the LA. If your school is yet to do so, please ensure it is added to your basket and checked out as soon as possible.
