Problems with parent gatherings at school pick up/drop off
If you are finding that parents gathering at pick up and drop off times and not adhering to social distancing is particularly problematic at your school, District Local Authorities can arrange for a Community Protection Officer (aka Covid Marshall or equivalent) to attend the school and help create an even safer school environment, by chatting with parents and students at the school gates.
This has taken place at some schools already and has been successful, particularly if followed up by communications from the school reinforcing the message following the visit. This would be a one off visit and should only be requested if the issue is particularly problematic.
