To spot the signs of child abuse look for changes in ABC - Appearance, Behaviour and Communication
Gloucestershire County Council is supporting the ‘Together we can tackle child abuse’ campaign which is led by the Department of Education.

The campaign aims to make sure that people know how to spot the signs of abuse and the changes to look out for.
By looking out for ABC and reporting any concerns you could help to protect a child or young person.
Appearance - such as unusual injuries or consistently poor hygiene
Behaviour - this can include becoming withdrawn, anxious, disruptive or self harming
Communication – for example, talking aggressively, using sexual language or being secretive
You can report your concerns anonymously to Gloucestershire County Council, NSPCC or the police who can provide the support a child may need.
Last year nearly 400,000 children in England were supported because someone noticed they needed help.
