Update on current Government Covid-19 Guidance

Published
21.01.2022

Further to the government announcements around the return to plan A next week, local implications are currently being considered. We recommend that schools maintain their current control measures until we receive further direction.

To clarify the current guidance regarding face masks:

• Continue to recommend face coverings in communal areas until the 27th January in line with current guidance.

• If your setting currently has an outbreak of COVID-19, you may wish to continue to advise face coverings in classrooms for those aged 11 and over to reduce the risk of further spread. For further discussion of your approach during outbreak please contact healthprotection@gloucestershire.gov.uk.

• If your setting is not in outbreak the use of face coverings in classrooms is no longer recommended.
