Vaccinations for Year 13 students

Published
04.06.2018

The NHS has asked that schools with sixth forms share information with parents and carers  about checking Year 13 students (2017/18 academic year) are up to date with their vaccinations.

It is important that young people are fully protected against key diseases, including measles (with the MMR vaccine) and meningitis (with the MenACWY vaccine), not just when they are at school and in contact with many other young people but also as they break up for the summer and may get exposed to infections during their travels, visits to festivals and holidays.

Please find attached an explanatory letter to headteachers asking to cascade the attached parent/carer letter and student slip via the usual methods.
