Pupils with health needs

Schools have a moral and legal responsibility to ensure that they are providing appropriate support for children with medical needs and should have a policy and processes in place to ensure that this happens.  

The aim of the attached guidance and related documents is to support schools to establish and implement policies, in line with the legislation, for managing the use of medication and the ongoing implementation of support for children with medical needs  in schools and other educational settings.

The Local Authority named officer responsible for the education of children with additional health needs is Annalise Price-Thomas 01242 532363.
