Advisory Teaching Service

Specialist support for children with a hearing, visual or physical impairment or difficulties with communication, interaction, cognition, learning and behaviour.

Early Years Service

The Early Years Service brings together the statutory and non-statutory duties of the Local Authority. It combines the functions previously undertaken by EY Locality Advisers, pre-school workers, EY finance, EY commissioners and the EY SEND service.

The aim of the service is to improve outcomes and reduce inequalities for all children aged 0-5 years

Educational Psychology Service (EPS)

The educational psychology service provides assessment, consultation, advice and training to early years settings, schools, families and the local authority.

Outreach Service

This service supports teachers and teaching assistants in all educational settings to help each child and young person achieve their potential and the five Every Child Matters outcomes. Details about the outreach service are on the CPD website.
