  • Work as partners with parents/carers to increase awareness and understanding of the child's needs and provide training/advice to parents
  • Ensure individuals working with pupils understand the effects and implications of the child's specific needs
  • Facilitate training and provide INSET in relation to individual school/need

All our staff have been DBS checked and carry photo ID which can be verified by password.

We may, at times, have opportunities for supply teachers. Please contact a lead teacher in the first instance. Supply teachers will need to complete a GCC job application, be DBS checked by GCC and  complete all the employment processes for the county council workforce.

Advice line for parents, schools, and settings

Due to the success of these advice lines, we will continue to operate this service during term-time afternoons, between the following times:

12.45pm-3.45pm daily – starting Monday 6th September 2021

They are available to parents and settings, to seek support to meet needs for children and young people working in schools,  settings and at home.

For children and young people who are known to ATS (on caseload) then it may be recommended that further support is sought from the allocated Advisory Teacher. If children are not known to ATS, a “no names” conversation may be conducted. This may include a recommendation, if appropriate, to make a referral to ATS.
