Emails failing to reach GCC?

Gloucestershire County Council conforms to the email Policies specified by the UK Government, details of which are published here:

This policy mandates that the Council strengthens its email solution in order to protect it from the risk of cyber attack against the citizen data we hold.

Part of this policy requires Gloucestershire County Council to check specific security credentials for all emails it receives when an Internet Service Provider organisation (e.g. Hotmail, BTConnect, Yahoo, etc.) has chosen to publish them. The area which causes emails to fail to reach the Council is the Sender Policy Framework (SPF) settings.

If your emails are not reaching the Council, we strongly suggest that you ask your IT department or Internet Service Provider to check that their security credentials comply with this UK government policy included in this online record.
