Bikeability training
Bikeability gives adults, children and young people the skills, confidence and knowledge to make journeys independently by bicycle in both urban and rural areas.
Bikeability is for anyone aged 9 and upwards. All training sessions are matched to your specific cycle needs. Riders can learn everything from basic bike handling to tackling complex road layouts in heavy traffic.
What's involved?
Bikeability has three levels:
- Level 1 - controlling the bike in a traffic free area.
- Level 2 - making a journey on quieter roads with simple junctions.
- Level 3 - making a journey on busier roads, riding through more complex junction roundabouts, traffic lights and using multi-lanes.
