November bus service changes

Please see below the bus service changes due in November.

Forest of Dean area route changes from 21 November

Days of operation: Mondays to Saturdays. Currently six journeys each way.

Future arrangements:

  • A replacement service has been found for the Chepstow – Lydney section and will commence on Monday 21 November. The timetable can be viewed here.
  • A new on-demand service – The Robin – has been launched in the south Forest of Dean and is available for all passengers to use.
  • Lydney Dial-a-Ride provide Community Transport in the area and can be contacted on 01594 843809.
  • Stagecoach will operate a new 24 service between Coleford, Cinderford and Gloucester replacing journeys currently operating on the 25.

Days of operation: Mondays to Saturdays. Currently three / four journeys each way.

  • See a new 24 service between Coleford, Cinderford and Gloucester to be operated by Stagecoach from Monday 21 November.
  • A new on-demand service – The Robin – has been launched in the south Forest of Dean and is available for all passengers to use.
  • Lydney Dial-a-Ride provide Community Transport in the area and can be contacted on 01594 843809.

Days of operation: Mondays to Saturdays. Currently two / three journeys each way. Service 827 - retained. Service 27- replacement secured.

  • A replacement service 27 has been secured and will commence on Monday 21 November. The timetable can be viewed here.
  • A new on-demand service – The Robin – has been launched in the south Forest of Dean and is available for all passengers to use.
  • Lydney Dial-a-Ride provide Community Transport in the area and can be contacted on 01594 843809.

  • Route and timetable are unchanged, replacement service to commence on Monday 21 November.

Cheltenham area route changes from 28 November

Days of operation: Mondays to Saturdays. Currently every 20 mins 7am-7pm. Replacement service secured, to be operated by Bennetts Coaches.

Future arrangements:

  • Replacement service to commence on Monday 28 November. Full detail to follow.

Days of operation: Mondays to Fridays. Currently daytimes, every 30 minutes. Emergency replacement details below (weekend service unaffected).

Future arrangements:

  • An emergency Leckhampton to Cheltenham Town Centre service has been secured from Monday 28th November. The timetable can be viewed here.
  • There is no replacement service in place for the western leg of service F.
  • Stagecoach bus service A may be a suitable replacement service for some passengers.
  • Passengers will mobility issues may wish to speak to Community Connexions regarding their dial-a-ride service on 0345 680 5029

  • 94 currently via Churchdown every 15 mins.
  • 94X/U currently via A40 road, every 30 mins, every 15 mins during peak times

Monday to Friday future arrangements

  • 94 via Churchdown every 20 mins
  • 94X via A40 every 20 mins
  • Evening 20 min service unchanged on 94

Saturdays currently

  • 94 via Churchdown every 15 minutes daytime, in evening every 20 minutes

Saturday future arrangements

  • 94 via Churchdown every 20 minutes
  • 94X via A40 every 20 minutes
  • Evening 20 min service unchanged on 94

Sundays currently

  • 94 via Churchdown, every 15 minutes daytime, every 30 minutes evening

Sunday future arrangements

  • 94 via Churchdown, every 15 minutes daytime, every 30 minutes evening

Monday to Saturday currently

  • Daytime every 15 minutes, evening every 20 minutes

Monday to Saturday future arrangements

  • Evening 20-minute service starts earlier, from around 1700 (Mondays to Friday), from around 1600 (Saturdays)

Sunday currently

  • Daytime every 20 minutes

Sunday future arrangements

  • No change

  • Buses diverted via General Hospital, same frequency but detailed timing changes

  • Daytime every hour

  • Evening 20-minute service starts around 1700 Mondays to Fridays. From around 1600 on Saturdays

Sundays currently

  • Daytime every 30 minutes

Sunday future arrangements

  • No change

Monday to Saturday currently

  • Daytime every 15 minutes (every 30 minutes each route)
  • Evenings every 30 minutes, route D only

Monday to Saturday future arrangements

  • Service E discontinued. Route D diverted via Linworth Road and Pecked Lane.
  • Daytime every 20 minutes (route D)
  • Evenings every 30 minutes (route D)

  • The withdrawal of service E will leave some areas of Bishops Cleeve without a service, this includes Woodmancote. Passengers with mobility issues who may not able to access an alternative bus service are advised to contact Community Connexions regarding their dial-a-ride service on 0345 680 5029, to enquire about their dial-a-ride service.
  • The new timetable will be available shortly, a link will be added to this page.

Cotswold area route changes from 28 November

Days of operation: Mondays to Saturdays. Currently inter-peak, every 60 minutes. Replacement operator secure.

Future arrangements:

  • Route and timetable are unchanged, replacement service operated by Cotswold Green to commence on Monday 28 November.
