Turning 18 is an important step towards adulthood, but you will not be expected to manage everything on your own. As a Care Leaver, you may continue to receive support from Gloucestershire Children's Services and other professionals to help you achieve your goals and live independently.
Your Leaving Care Personal Adviser (PA) and Social Worker will work with you to create a Pathway Plan, which sets out your goals and the support available to help you achieve them. Depending on your immigration status, you may continue to receive support from Leaving Care Services until the age of 25.
The Gloucestershire Virtual School will support your educational journey until you turn 18, helping you access opportunities and overcome barriers to learning. As you move into adulthood, support from your Personal Adviser, Leaving Care Team and other professionals will help you plan for your future with confidence.
