PEP Support Officer

I’m Vicky Hurst and I am the PEP Support Officer here at The Virtual School. I joined the team in January 2023, and I feel very fortunate to be part of such a diverse and well-informed team. My previous role, as a Designated Teacher at a secondary school, means I have experienced the challenges schools face, with trying to balance an ever-increasing workload and meet the needs of our young people.

Part of my role is to support school staff with the completion of the ePEP documents. Alongside the annual ePEP training and the training recordings available to you on the VS website I offer 1-1 training via Teams, this may be helpful for those that are new to roll or as a refresher for existing Designated Teachers. Please get in touch to arrange if you feel this would be beneficial.

We work closely as a team to continuously review and improve the ePEP templates, we want to ensure the document provides a thorough and detailed picture of individual need and the educational journey each of our young person experiences, as well as a celebration of their achievements and progress. Thank you for all the hard work each of you continue to do for our young people, the support you provide has a huge impact on their development and outcomes.

Please do get in touch if I can help in any way.
