Virtual School Audit and Self Evaluation Tool 2025-26

The purpose of this document is to support schools in the evaluation of their provision and future planning to meet the needs of  Children in Care (CiC), Previous Children in Care (PCiC), children with a social worker with a child protection or child in need plan (CWSW) or those who have previously had a social worker.

This could be used to review and improve the processes to support progress and attainment, analyse the impact of Pupil Premium Plus (PP+), and Pupil Premium (PP) and to report to governors and external professionals. This document should be completed by the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) member with responsibility for PCiC and CWSW, typically the designated teacher and or the designated safeguarding lead.

We want this free resource to be both useful in your role, supporting actions plans to improve your provision for vulnerable young people and time efficient. It should take no more than 15 minutes to complete, and we would welcome feedback regarding this tool.
