Application criteria and guidance
Phase two is now closed.
Guidance
Your application will be assessed and if successful, we will arrange for purchase of the items. We will be combining applications to ensure that we get the best value at procurement. We will then deliver the items to you.
If you have applied for Road Safety Officer support, this will be allocated to make most efficient use of the officer’s time.
As part of a bidding application we would like to learn about the following:
- Any actions your current Community Speedwatch Group has already undertaken to reduce speed and/or improve road safety in your community. If a group doesn’t yet exist, establishing one can be supported within the bidding process to enable you to access training and equipment.
- Any information you already know about speeds or accident data in your community. If you currently don’t have any information, getting a survey done could be the first part of your bidding process. You may find a lot of data is already available.
- Your vision for road safety in your community and the activities you would like to undertake. If you don’t know how to approach this, a Road Safety Officer can visit and provide some advice via the bidding process. Or you may like to contact organisations such as Community Speedwatch or Gloucestershire Rural Community Council.
