B4063 Gloucester to Cheltenham Cycle Improvements Scheme

In Autumn 2021, construction works began on the revised plans for a cycleway between Gloucester and Cheltenham along the B4063. A cycleway here will help cyclists of all ages and abilities to travel safely, encouraging people to choose cycling and walking over using their cars for work, school or leisure, reducing carbon emissions and supporting public health.
Approximately 10km (6 miles), the scheme runs between Arle Court roundabout to the west of Cheltenham to London Road (junction Black Dog Way) Gloucester via Staverton, Churchdown and Longlevens.
The proposed route will be split into the following sections:
- Section 1 - Oxstalls Junction to Elmbridge Court Roundabout
- Section 2 - Elmbridge Court Roundabout to Brickhampton Golf course
- Section 3 - Brickhampton Golf course to M5 Overbridge
- Section 4 - M5 overbridge (Staverton) to Arle Court Roundabout
- Section 5 - Pirton Lane Junction
