Please be aware that jumping the red lights at the temporary traffic light locations will trigger all other lights at the junction to default to red as a safety measure. To avoid additional delays and maintain safety we encourage all road users not to go through on the red light.

Pirton Lane

Current Works:

Cheltenham bound carriageway lane, footpath, and verge at Blakeley Court

  • Forecasted dates/duration: 9th September to 7th November.

  • Traffic Management type: Narrow lane working.

  • Details of works: Alterations to existing kerb lines, resurfacing and widening of pedestrian and cyclist facilities (implementation of segregated cycleway), underground ducting and drainage works and new traffic signal enabling works.

Why is this work taking longer than expected? We apologise for works taking longer than expected, this is due to a unforeseen private water pipe leak. Works are now proceeding and are planned to be completed by 7th November.

Permanent traffic signals have been successfully commissioned on time on 24th October. This marks an important milestone of this section. Whilst no long term temporary traffic management is planned moving forward there maybe periods of short term works to address snagging items.
