The Social Work Academy
Gloucestershire's Social Work Academy was launched in 2019 and now has a comprehensive programme of learning opportunities to support the continuing professional development of Gloucestershire’s children’s social workers and allied professionals.
The programme focuses on Social Work Trainees on placement and Newly Qualified Social Workers in their Assessed and Supported Year in Employment through to Senior Social Workers, Advanced Practitioners as well as a focus on Management and Leadership.
The Social Work Academy has become a key driver of improvement within the service through the direct delivery and facilitation of learning and development programmes to commissioning external trainers and subject experts in the field.
Alongside our commitment to Systemic Practice, the Social Work Academy provides a range of key learning and development activities.
