Ready for Learning (RFL)

Ready for Learning (RFL)

The RFL (Ready for Learning) tool assesses how well children are progressing in their pre-school year and supports them to experience successful transitions into school.   It focuses on 4 key areas:

  • Language and Cognition
  • Emotional Resilience
  • Daily Living Skills
  • Family Support

Providers complete the RFL tool for each child three times in their pre-school year (October, January and April).

Providers have access to one-page resources to help them support the child to make progress across all 4 key areas.

Please make use of the following resources!
