Leaders and Managers Meetings
The Leaders and Managers meetings are an opportunity for EY Managers to network, share good practice and concerns, receive local updates from GCC and Health and to work collaboratively as a sector to identify solutions to some of the issues facing providers in the EY sector.
CM Network Meetings
Childminding can be isolating, and the network meetings provide opportunities for sharing practice, discussing issues and time for professional conversations. The Meetings often have a theme or guest speakers which are advertised on GCC+. Please come along and let me know what sessions would be useful in the future. Early Years SENCO Cluster Meetings
The SENCO Cluster Meeting are countywide meetings for Early Years SENCOs. They are held three times a year across localities. The meetings provide you with an opportunity to network with other SENCOs, share ideas and problem solve to enhance your provision for children with SEND. They are facilitated by an EY Inclusion Advisor and an Educational Psychologist,
Training to support children’s sensory processing needs
Bravo Children’s OT offer a range of training courses to EY practitioners to support children with sensory processing and special educational needs.
Total Communication Training in the Early Years
This training is delivered in your setting and will upskill staff by exploring how children develop their communication skills, how to provide good quality interactions and how to provide a total communication friendly environment.
SENCO Training in the Early Years
A two-day training course to develop your knowledge, skills and understanding of the role of the SENCO. This training is for practitioners new to the SENCO role, experienced SENCOs who would like a refresher, and those wanting to familiarise themselves with Gloucestershire’s processes.
EY SENCO CACHE Accredited Level 3 Training
This qualification is intended to support early years’ practitioners to gain recognition for the knowledge, understanding and skills they need to perform the Early Years SENCO role effectively. This training is delivered annually on a face to face basis by the EY & CC Service. Delegates are expected to attend all 12 sessions delivered on a fortnightly basis.

The Bristol & Beyond Stronger Practice Hub aims to support providers by sharing effective practice and building long-lasting networks of support.
Early Years Inclusion Programme – Dingley’s Promise. Gloucestershire is taking part in this programme which allows all EY providers in county to access free training and resources. Training - Dingley's Promise
The DfE are offering a free, online training which provides an overview of early years child development and gives practical advice for supporting the development of children in your early years setting.
PATA is a not-for-profit, membership organisation in Gloucestershire offering a range of training packages.

Early Education promotes high-quality early childhood education, offering you the opportunity to become part of the local Gloucestershire network.
