Congestion concerns at Black Dog Way / London Road

Loss of traffic lane westbound on Bruton Way at Black Dog Way junction- will increase tailback of traffic away from junction. Will impede ambulances travelling into city from hospital, and very little carriageway width for cars to move out of way. 

Loss of left turn slip Road at Black Dog Way- a tricky turn for buses and other large vehicles. Additionally, will cause greater build-up of traffic and again impede ambulances on way to hospital. If the right-hand lane is dedicated right turn only, the straight-ahead lane will be very slow to clear.

Our design team is currently considering the feedback received regarding Black Dog Way junction and we will share an update once the final design solution has been agreed.
