Southgate Street and Kimbrose Triangle

We have completed a series of improvements designed to make Southgate Street safer, more accessible, and easier to navigate, especially for people walking and cycling. These upgrades strengthen the link between Gloucester Quays and the city centre, creating a more welcoming and connected space.

What We Delivered

✅ A Segregated Section of the Cycleway

  • A clearly defined, protected route for cyclists now runs through this section.

  • This helps reduce conflict between pedestrians, drivers, and cyclists.

✅ Improved Footways

  • Selected footway surfaces have been refreshed and improved.

  • These upgrades create a smoother and more accessible route for all users.

✅ New Formal Crossing at Kimbrose Triangle

  • A new, more visible and structured crossing point has been installed.

  • This enables safer, clearer, and more efficient movement for pedestrians.
