Challenge/appeal a PCN
If you don't think you should have been given a PCN, the first step is to challenge/appeal the issuing of it.
You can best challenge/appeal a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) online as this is the most efficient method of contact. Please follow the instructions on the reverse of the ticket or the letter you have received. You must include the following:
- your full name and postal address, including postcode;
- the PCN number (starts GD********), which must be quoted on all correspondence;
- your vehicle registration mark;
- the reason you think the contravention didn't occur; and
- any written evidence to support your case.
Pay
Pay your PCN by visiting the 'how can I pay a PCN' page.
