Parking bay suspensions

A parking bay suspension may be required to work or park, where parking restrictions apply.

Please note that we are are only able to suspend parking bays that currently have legally endorsed parking restrictions, through a Traffic Regulation Order. The following bays can currently be suspended:

• Resident permit holders only bays
• Shared use bays (resident permit holders/pay and display bays/limited waiting bays)
• Pay and display bays
• Limited waiting bays

We may also consider a suspension of no waiting restrictions, this would be subject to safety checks/assessment.

To identify whether a parking bay suspension may be necessary at a specified location, please use Gloucestershire Traffweb to identify whether any of the above parking restrictions are available.

 We would not usually permit a parking bay suspension for the following parking bays:

• Disabled badge holder bays
• Taxi ranks
• Bus stops
• Loading bays

Please also note that we are not able to suspend any Unrestricted parking bays, where there are no parking restrictions currently legally backed with a Traffic Regulation Order.
