Background
All schools who purchase payroll services from GCC will benefit from the upcoming transition to a cloud-based SAP system from 31 March 2026. This project is called One SAP which is part of a bigger programme of change at GCC called the One Programme.
Why is this change happening?
The current SAP system is hosted on physical servers and we’re moving to a safer, more resilient software model which is hosted in the cloud. The support for our current SAP service is ending which means we must make the switch.
What are the benefits of the new system and payroll system
- The system is cloud-based, which means better security, more up-to-date and improved reliability (and it can be automatically updated).
- The new SIMS app will flag errors to be corrected before the file is sent through to GCC - so no back and forth.
- Payments will be sent quicker
