Contacting HR

The HR Advice Line is a telephone and email service for school leaders and managers that subscribe to the GCC Plus HR Service.

The HR Advice Line is available to school managers to seek advice and support on HR queries and issues. If you need guidance on an HR matter, such as managing sickness absence, employee conflict, or handling disciplinaries and grievances, an HR Adviser can guide you through the process and next steps.

The HR Advice Line can be contacted via phone on 01452 425888 option 3, or via email at hradviceline@gloucestershire.gov.uk. The service is available between 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Friday. All queries and messages will be responded to within two working days. If you call the HR Advice Line and a colleague is unable to answer your call, please leave a voicemail with your name, number, and overview of your query, and an HR Adviser will be in contact.

If you require ongoing support, the HR Adviser will refer you to one of our specialist teams in HR, for example employee relations and change management. If you need to contact your named Adviser, you can contact them via telephone and email directly. If you call and you cannot get through, please send them an email with an overview of your query and they will contact you. If your call is not answered the first time of calling, the HR Adviser may not be available at the time of your call. Please send your named HR Adviser an email, and we will contact you.
