Digital Landline Switchover - Telecare

The UK’s home phone (landline) service is getting an upgrade. The transition has already started and will continue over the next few years. Soon, most landline calls will be made over a broadband line.

If you or someone you know uses a telecare alarm, you must call the landline provider. They will help make sure your alarm keeps working though the switchover, and they can tell you whether you need an upgraded device, new adapter, device battery backup, or a mobile phone backup.
