Tuffley Avenue safety scheme
What is happening?
Gloucestershire County Council are developing a scheme along with Tuffley Avenue Residents Group to improve road safety along Tuffley Avenue, Gloucester, with one proposal being a lower speed limit.
Part of the final phase of works to complete the recently introduced measures is aimed at slowing high-end speeds along Tuffley Avenue in a reduction of the existing speed limit.
To help us finalise these plans and to enable development of this scheme, we are currently seeking resident's views on a draft proposal prior to any formal process being started.
What is proposed?
- Mandatory speed limit at all times
- Introduce vehicle activated signs to create greater awareness to motorists of the speed they are travelling
- Road signage and road markings
