We are proud to have a very active Employee Voice Group that consistently provides us with invaluable feedback from our teams on a wide range of topics. In addition to this, we hold regular all-staff Q&A sessions, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to voice their thoughts and concerns. Responding to feedback on communication, we have introduced our ‘Adults in Focus’ Newsletter, which keeps all colleagues informed and engaged. Furthermore, we are continuously working on enhancing our two-way engagement across the Directorate to foster a more inclusive and informed working environment.
As a direct result of employees feedback, we have been able to make a number of positive changes in Adult Social Care and we hope that this collaborative way of working will enable us to grow and develop as a service.
Amanda Jones, Director of Operations for Adult Social Care said: “I am so proud of the fantastic work happening in Gloucestershire. Our passion and commitment shine through to achieve our vision of making a difference by enabling people to help themselves and each other, doing everything we can to help people build resilience, thrive and live a good life.”
Keith Vardy, Assistant Director Adult Social Care Long Term Services, added: "I feel incredibly proud to work for Adult Social Care in Gloucestershire. Our teams know that they are valued and listened to and it is them that make Gloucestershire such a great place to be. Every day I hear stories about the tenacity and commitment of my colleagues as they go about their work truly making a difference to those whose lives they touch. I think that this is what motivates us all to do our very best."
Jo Sutherland, Principal Social Worker, remarked: "I am still fairly new to Gloucestershire but I am loving the commitment of the dedicate social care professionals I am privileged to be working alongside to truly empower the residents of Gloucestershire and really strive for true partnership working supported by strength-based practice."
