We work hard to make sure that adults aged 18 or over and their carers and families who need care or support in their daily lives can get the help and advice they need to live as independently as possible. Care and support can be a mixture of practical, financial and emotional support for people who need extra help to manage their lives and be independent.

The Cotswolds Locality Team covers the largest geographical area of all of our locality teams, from Cirencester in the south all the way up to Chipping Campden in the North Cotswolds. Because of the distances we have to cover, the Cotswolds Locality Team is based across two locations. Our South Cotswolds Team are based in Cirencester, where we also have a team that works in Cirencester Hospital and our North Cotswolds Team are based in Bourton-on-the-Water.

We cover mainly rural locations which provides its own challenges and we mainly work with older people, however we do also cover the more urban locations in the Cotswolds too.

"I am an Integrated Social Care Manager with Gloucestershire County Council. It’s ISCM for short and it means that I’m the manager of 1 of the 8 teams that we have across Adult Social Care operations.

"I came into Social work to help people. I’m naturally quite nosey and inquisitive so I suppose some of my natural skill set lent myself to that. Now as a manager, I’m still helping people, not necessarily frontline myself anymore but I’m still helping support the teams of people that are going out." - ISCM
