Enablement service
The enablement service is a county wide service.
As a team we work with a broad range of adults in Gloucestershire to provide information, advice, guidance and training to individuals who need support to develop or strengthen, social, educational, employment, leisure or other skills.
For more information please contact Dena Boucher (Enablement Service Manager) on 📧 enablement.service@gloucestershire.gov.uk or call 📞 01452 328400
With our support individuals can also develop and maintain daily living skills at home and in the community to live as independently as possible.
We work closely with Social Workers, practitioners, managers and other professionals. Our work is within adult social care, acute and community hospitals, locality offices and specialist learning disabilities team as well as our drop-ins.
"It’s about connecting people in the community. It’s about working with people, helping families that are in a crisis to signpost them to the correct places to get support and help people with a wide variety of things.
"I really enjoy working on the ground and working with people directly. I like to work alongside them rather than come in and tell them what to do because at the end of the day, the role we provide is to enable people to do what they want to do." - Enablement Coordinator
