We support adults living in Gloucester to find their own solutions to remain independent or to support people to regain control of their lives, staying by their side until we are no longer required. We work alongside our partners and other agencies, including the NHS, housing, service providers and local charities, to support adults who need a plan for their short term or long-term care and support.
We strive to provide the highest quality service we can to adults and their carers, utilising their strengths to help connect them to services and opportunities in their local area to promote their well-being. We also ensure that adults at risk of abuse and neglect are protected and empowered.
The people who mainly come into our service are over the age of 18 who have an appearance of care and support needs and who may or may not be at risk of harm. Predominantly these are those with diagnosed physical or cognitive conditions, such as dementia, acquired brain injuries and neurological disorders.
"The team I work with at the moment is very inspiring and very supportive. Iāve been massively supported throughout the team. Iāve been in the Cheltenham team, the Forest Locality Team and now the Gloucester team and I think the themes run really deep across the county because everyone is so supportive and your manager will encourage you and inspire you to take those opportunities where you can enhance your development." - Social Worker
