Who do the PBS team work with?

We are a small team of behaviour analysts commissioned by Adult Social Care and Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group. We specialise in Positive Behavioural Support.

For more information about career opportunities within this team, please send us an email to ASCrecruitment@gloucestershire.gov.uk.

The service is available to people who are ordinary residents of Gloucestershire, with a diagnosis of one or more of the following:

  • Learning Disability
  • Autism
  • Acquired Brain Injury
  • Dementia

In addition to displaying behaviour described as challenging.

"I have a team of 6, seven including myself. We all go out in varying degrees to support any adults with a disability who might engage in behaviour described as challenging and the overall aim is to improve quality of life. What that means varies from person to person so we try to figure out what that means for that particular person. It could be increasing meaningful activities, making sure they have access to descent social relationships and access to things they like doing. It is an incredibly rewarding job to be able to make one small change that might improve the life for people, and I wouldn’t want to do anything else." - PBS Team Manager
