We do our part to make Gloucestershire Adult Social Care a place where Adult Social Care staff:

We aim to achieve this through questioning the norm, modelling quality in everything we do and creating space for reflection. Because we care about our colleagues, who we serve, and what we do.

Our team is involved in supporting workplace CPD through our offer of mandatory training and various other development training events.Ā This is to ensure that we have a confident workforce that feels supported to make defensible decisions.Ā 

We structure and monitor the Adult Social Care ASYE programmeĀ which assists in helping our Newly Qualified Social Workers establish themselves in the first steps of their professional career. We also support students throughout their studies at university, working as Practice Educators for those on placement with us and liaising with placement supervisors and various universities.Ā 

The Practice Development Team is also involved in developing Career Pathways and working with individuals to enable them to progress in their roles.

"My main role is Practice Educator for Adult Learners so Students, Social Care Apprentices, Newly Qualified Social Workers, and supporting the workforce development of the team.
