Stroud has both rural and urban areas, with pockets of deprivation and pockets of affluence. The locality team is a beautiful location to work in, with a well kept building, limited parking and interesting country routes to travel through (including on the common, where you may be stopped by cows!)
We are perfectly situated between a town, where shopping facilities for food, drink and other consumables can be found and also Stratford park ā great if you want to get a little bit of natural therapy on lunch.
There are extensive amounts of community resources in Stroud and the town itself is alternative and has environmentally friendly initiatives including a plastic free shop and the Stroud Valley project shop. There is a farmers market on a Wednesday and Stroud also has the only vegan football team in the country!Ā
Our office is based near to the train station and there are plenty of bus routes and public transport alternatives for staff.
